-- 1971 - 1972: C-130Es out of Ching Chuan Kang (CCK) in Taiwan. Most flying time was logged in country out of Tan San Nut and Cam Rahn Bay, Viet Nam.
-- 1972 - 1979: KC-135Q out of Beale AFB in California. Copilot/Pilot/IP. Stan/Eval and Scheduling officer. Spent alot of time in Okinawa supporting the SR-71.
-- 1979 - 1980: Shaw AFB, SC. Air Traffic Control Officer training program
-- 1980 - 1984: Chief of Air Traffic Control Ops, Laughlin AFB, TX. Flew T-38s.
-- 1984 - 1989: Pilot/Scheduler/Command Post Controller/Training Chief in KC-135s out of Mather AFB in California.
After retiring from the USAF, Jim flew single engine Cessnas for a small air charter service in Sacramento for several months. He retired from Customer Service division of Pacific Gas and Electric in May of 2012.
Jim and Cindy married in 1976. They have 5 kids: Dawn, Tom, Mike, Amy, and Sara. And they recently have been blessed with 4 grandkids (picture below showing left to right Scarlett (6), River (7), Lucy (4 1/2), and Milo (5).
